Laura’s interest in Family Law began while working in the CU Psychology Department’s Wellness, Health, and Relationship Functioning Lab where she studied the cost of relationship dysfunction and its adverse effects on mental and physical health. Laura also focused on abnormal and developmental psychology along with peace and conflict studies, all of which inform her strategies and approach as a family law attorney. Laura earned her Juris Doctorate from Colorado Law School and began her legal career practicing family law.
Laura has a range of experience in cases concerning the dissolution of marriage with and without children, allocation of parental responsibilities, dependency, and neglect matters, and civil protection orders. Laura uses the full spectrum of her education and experience to achieve her clients’ goals and meet their needs, and she prides herself on the zealous representation that provides a safe and compassionate space for her clients and their children. She is aggressive in the courtroom against the opposing side and gentle in the office with clients.

To bolster her skills in representing survivors both inside and outside the courtroom, Laura engages in continuing legal education on the cycle and psychological impacts of domestic violence and consults with a reputable trauma therapist. Divorcing or fighting a custody battle against a narcissist? Laura has you covered!
Laura is excited to be a part of a team that goes above and beyond legal representation.
In her spare time, Laura enjoys powerlifting, skydiving along the Colorado Front Range, or snowboarding in the Colorado backcountry.
